Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Teens with Anxiety and Mood Challenges with Gayle Saiferts


Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy is a group program for teens with anxiety and depression. This 8 week clinical group is informed by the evidenced based MBCT-C programs developed by Semple and Lee and the MBCT program created by Segal, Williams and Teasdale. This is an experiential, practice oriented group treatment program that integrates elements of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness as a way to help teens manage their mood more successfully. An integrative parenting component is also included and designed to improve skill generalization.

Stressed Teens

Stressed Teens

Stressed Teens, otherwise known as the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) Program was founded in 2004. Stressed Teens has been demonstrated through research to be an effective and evidence-based intervention to reduce adolescent stress and the physical and psychological problems that result. Stressed Teens is adapted in a variety of ways to accommodate the setting in which it is being offered. This program is frequently utilized with individuals, families, and in-group settings.
