Community Approach

Mindfulness Everyday programs are based on the principles of the MBSR workshop, an 8-week program created by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1979.

Our approach is to delivery trauma-sensitive and social and emotional learning workshops, courses and programsin educational and community settings, that are interactive, engaging and highly participatory, focusing on self-care and creating community.

We offer a variety of programs, courses and resources desinged to support you in your personal journey, fostering well-being, developing authentic self-care skills, and supporting meaningful releationships and connections.

We provide programs for adults and teens in community settings, both online and in-person.

Progams

Programs For You to support your own well-being in a safe, supportive environment and learn valuable skills for navigating the ups and downs of life:

  Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program, developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. The eight-week program aims to help people manage stress. 6-week workshop focusing on practices and applications for bringing self-compassion into your life.
   


  A 9-session program, designed to provide essentail skills for everyday life. The classes incorporate mindful cueing that invites inquiry and curiousity, as well as other mindful atittudes into the practice, providing an overall gentle stretch and tone experience.
 

Programs For Parents and Care-givers to support you as you provide care to your family:

Personalized workshops focusing on practice, skills, resourcces and self-care for parents and care-givers.
 

Programs For Teens to support your health and wellness:

5-module program delivered online and in community settings, providing life strategies.

The Dianna Last Memorial Fund honours our co-founder's legacy by facilitating access and providing subsidies for mindfulness training to those in education and in the community who would benefit in cultivating mindful awareness to support health and well-being.

Mindfulness Teacher Certification Programs

If you have been found mindfulness to be transformational in your own life, and are inspired to teach others,
our programs can help support you by providing comprehensive, authentic, community-building, supportive trainings.

Teaching Mindfulness to Teens introductory workshop, which is part of the Applied Specialization in Mindfulness Meditation Certification at the University of Toronto Continuing Studies, will help you teach mindfulness to teens.

200 + Hour Mindful Yoga Teacher Dual Certification Program teaches the skills needed to lead safe, encouraging and contemplative Mindful Yoga classes as well as facilitating Mindfulness groups in community, educational and professional settings. Eligable Participants will receive
1. Mindful Yoga Teacher Certificate
2. SMART (Stress-Management and Resiliency Techniques for Educators and Helping Professionals.

The Mindful Edge (Stress Management and Life Strategies for Teens - grades 9-12) is an evidence-based, trauma-sensitive and social and emotional learning (SEL) informed program comprised of 12 x 60-minute sessions, carefully scaffolded and designed to build on the class prior. The Teacher Training delivers the session in real time with all materials required for implementation, either in-person or online.
